Real Wedding: Peacock Couture Glam Wedding

APRIL 14, 2016 - written by

Today is the anniversary of one of our favorite couture weddings. Three years ago we had the pleasure of providing our “Day of Coordination” service to our former wedding clients – Nora and Andrew. Nora was a bride who epitomized wedding planning creativity coupled with great style! She planned her entire couture glam wedding but desired someone to coordinate and manage the wedding on the actual day. Nora and Andrew hired Conceptions Events to ensure that their wedding visions and planning blueprint was properly executed on their special day (and stress free of course!). We were excited to be on board and honored for the opportunity to birth their magical dream wedding into a reality.

During our first meeting with the couple I was instantaneously impressed by all the intricate and glamorous details of their peacock themed couture wedding. The theme incorporated both peacock feathers as well as vibrant peacock colors. The wedding colors were a beautiful medley of turquoise, purple, royal blue and green, which symbolized the liveliness of their union. Every element of the wedding reflected the couple’s personalities.

Nora stunned everyone with her form-fitted ostrich feather wedding gown that captured modern romance. The wedding party sported in their attire classiness and sophistication, but one particular member stood out from the rest – Lexi (the bride’s pet dog.) Lexi wore a peacock colored tutu dress that was an absolutely show stopper!  She made a grand entrance during the church ceremony that captivated many of the wedding guests. Unfortunately, some of her fans were a bit disappointed in her absence at the reception due to the venue’s no pet policy.  Nonetheless, following the ceremony Lexi checked into a luxurious pet hotel (I can imagine the pampered treatments she received).

The wedding reception was held at Nanina’s In The Park where guests enjoyed an array of exquisite dishes, specialty cocktails and decadent desserts. The remainder of the evening consisted of an electrifying dancefloor, selfies, fun and laughter.

Watch their wedding video beautifully captured by Abella Studios Photography.  Enjoy!

Her Day At Versailles – Bridal Shower

APRIL 11, 2016 - written by

I had the honor of hosting my best friend’s bridal shower 2 years ago and this was one of my favorite events planned thus far. To this day, many of her guests are still raving about her bridal shower! When she initially conferred with me regarding her maid-of-honor request I was honored but secretly was more excited about the idea of throwing her bridal shower. I knew without a shadow of doubt I wanted a sheer regal theme. It took months of planning and researching various venues before I rendered my final decision. The wait was well worth it as I found the perfect venue to host this event – a French Renaissance inspired private mansion with incomparable elegance. During my site visit with the mansion’s owner I was instantly blown away by the 24-foot ceilings, opulent hanging chandeliers, a spiral staircase and a dramatic water fountain located in the garden atrium room. Furthermore, this mansion offered several rooms to explore, ranging from a cozy fireplace in the library to even a quaint chapel! After my tour, I realized this mansion reminded me of my visit to Chateau De Versailles in France several years ago. And so my friends this retrospect of my Parisian trip was the birth of the bridal shower theme -“Her Day at Versailles.” My goal was to make the bride-to-be and her guests feel like royalty indulged by a unique experience.
